The Tidings website closed on 31 January 2022.
In existence since early 2019, it never attracted enough visitors to warrant the effort of putting each new issue of the magazine online.
Rather than lose the accumulated archive of articles and reports (back issues from June 2018 were subsequently added) I decided to “privatize” the website and continue, for this year at least, to host many of the same materials under a new title Geldeston Miscellany.
This allows me and others an opportunity to write about certain shared interests, e.g. “5 April 1966: the story of Geldeston village school from 1825 until its closure“. More about this change in the April issue of Tidings …
